Wondakiah / 1995 – 1998

Background:

Wondakiah is a premium style development comprising 297 residential units, a deep water Marina, Gymnasium, swimming pools tennis courts and the like.

Wondakiah sits on the former Gas Works site at King Street Waverton having frontage to Oyster Bay. The site contains a number of heritage items and a series of luxury units over 7 buildings.

Our Involvement:

  1. Initial Detail survey giving as built details of the remediated site
  2. Advice and direction to the client in terms of subdivision options and methods
  3. Advice to client on the matter of easements, their terms and uses
  4. Boundary definition and control for construction set out by others
  5. Draft Community titles Subdivision
  6. Draft Strata Plans
  7. Draft Community Management Statement
  8. Final Community Plan of Subdivision to create 5 lots
  9. Final Strata Plans to create a total of 297 units
  10. Liaison with Waterways Authority
  11. Draft leasehold strata plan in respect of 41 berth Marina
  12.  Final leasehold strata plan of Marina attached to the community.

Company Achievements:

This project was the first in the State to attach a Marina to a Community Scheme.
This is a very prestigious development and highly sought after. The client ensured the best possible subdivision result and gave this aspect of the project a priority. The result is an excellent subdivision for the residents which has anticipated problems and overcome them during planning.
